Our learners are encouraged to follow their curiosity, explore their interests, ask questions, create, collaborate, and grow at their own pace. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we create a flexible learning environment that responds to each child’s strengths, needs, and passions.
Being based in New York City also gives our learners access to an incredible extended classroom. Museums, parks, studios, cultural institutions, visiting educators, neighborhood experiences, and regular field trips all become part of the learning journey.

Mission
Seed Grove is an independent learning community based in New York City, offering self-directed, project-based, educational, and outdoor programs for children ages 5 to 13.
At Seed Grove, we honor each child’s natural desire to learn by creating a thoughtful, caring, and harmonious environment where curiosity can flourish. Through meaningful projects, exploration, collaboration, and real-world experiences, children are encouraged to follow their interests, deepen their understanding, and develop confidence in themselves as learners.
We nurture each child’s innate curiosity and wisdom, supporting them on a journey toward becoming lifelong learners, compassionate community members, and balanced human beings.
